M.COM

Master Of Commerce

Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a Post Graduate Program/Master’s degree course that offers mastery about commerce, finance, accounting, and economics. This course is ideal for commerce graduates who wish to make a career in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) as well as Accounting and Commerce sectors. The course delves deeper into the functioning of the economy, capital, revenue, trade, taxes, etc. As M.Com is a specialized area in itself, only those candidates who have pursued B.Com or B.Com (Hons), generally pursue it. Some of the M.Com specialization areas include Taxation, Accounting & Finance, Banking and Finance, Statistics, and E-Commerce, etc.

Full-time M.Com eligibility criteria are as follows:

The basic eligibility criteria for M.Com Course (full-time) is a degree in B.Com or B.Com (Hons) from a recognized university.
Most of the institutes follow the minimum score criteria in Graduation which is 50 percent on average or equivalent. For Reserved category students, the minimum score in 45 percent in aggregate
Final-year B.Com Graduation candidates are also eligible to apply for M.Com, provided they present the proof of completion of Graduation degree within the duration specified by the institute
Admission is at times based on Entrance Exams as conducted by certain universities or Merit-Based.
